会痛,那是因为你付出过真心;
会痛,是因为舍不得曾经只属于你的那份关心;

Oh my... I miss it!

Was checking my senior's photos. She went to jonker street in Melacca to hunt for food. And i see this:
Oh my..I can directly feel the secretion of HCL into my stomach when i see this. Miss the rice balls so much!!!
and then my friend went to a shop to eat durian cendol ais kacang, and i think the place is named sam suk gong. Never try that before and it looks really yummy! AH~~~ in Malaysia, it's so nice that we don't have to cook every day and yet we still afford to pay for different kind of delicious meals when we eat at outside. A huge bliss for being Malaysians!

A silent night

It has been such a long time, since the last time I have such a silent night! Tomorrow is finally a weekend not filled with any particular events (the one I remembered seems to be centuries ago) , I just feel so so relaxed and relieved today. No stress on homework, no rush on doing things. A homely feel night. ARRRR~~~ it is so enjoyable. It is a carefree and silent night ( although dudu was still 24 hour on the phone with me~)

Recalling the past few weeks, I have had gone through the busiest time i had since I landed on UK. Two weeks ago, we went to Plymouth; last week, I had an unforgettable weekend staying with a British family. It was really exciting!!! Nonetheless, I was busy, and sometimes I lost my direction. I was somehow lamenting why am I making myself so busy for, since I actually have the freedom to choose an easier life to live. But as I looked back my initial aim of having so much of these activities, I knew that I won't regret, years later, that I have spent some time on doing these. Most importantly, I was actually enjoying myself so much in the progress of learning!!! Practising ballroom dance on Tuedays, French on Wednesdays, cello on fridays, and added the obliged responsibility of practising BAMSA dance on Mondays and Thursdays fill up all my nights during week days as I am usually a bit exhausted after coming back from the classes. Telling the truth: I am actually seriously slacking on my studies! That really gets me haywire! It's hard to get a really silent night to get on my studies and at this time time management is really important. I know I have to live my life with much consciousness so that I am not a mere blind who lives a busy life. There is a quote in Buddhism said, when you're totally concentrate on what you're doing, there's nothing than you cant do. Jiayou!!!

These are not important right now. Just want to spend the rest of the night in a very enjoyable way, just as when I'm at home. Listen to music, a little revision perhaps, and the book Way to Buddhahood should accompany me to bed. Tomorrow, I plan to have a refreshing kick start with a morning meditation ( long abandoned..!) . Let's call it an end with a picture I love so much:

That's my friend. We were in a huge piece of farmland, just behind the house of a British host family. Running on a huge piece of grassland was once my childhood dream.

Building a happy relationship

I was on facebook just now and that's what I have read from a friend's note. "It was about an article," she writes, "written by T. Selva, The Star’s Sunday Metro Editor. Titled “To love and to cherish”, he talked about good relationships and how to maintain them. At first glance, I thought “What the heck, anyone can write something like that”. But as I read on, I realised how much I could relate to what he wrote."

Tips to build a happy relationship :

• Be willing to change.
• Be honest to your spouse / partner.
• Avoid competition between the two of you.
• Both must complement each other.
• Avoid being possessive and selfish.
• Be kind, gentle, patient and loving.
• Keep romance alive in your relationship / marriage.
• Say sorry if you have made a mistake.
• Be supportive in whatever he or she does.
• Have integrity and this will gain honor.
• Be a good listener, pay attention, and be open.
• Give surprises as it adds tonic to the romance.
• Cracking jokes helps to build a cheerful relationship.
• Never bring past problems and unpleasant incidents.
• Develop compassion for your partner and yourself.
• Know the likes and dislikes to shape the relationship.
• Exercise sweetness of speech and never use harsh words.
• Treat your spouse / partner the way you would like to be treated.
• Leave little notes for him or her when you miss each other.
• Express appreciation by saying thank you even for everyday things.
• Practice forgiveness as sometimes mistakes are made unintentionally.

A good list of small actions to be done with great love. As I read further, I thought, this list shouldn't be meant only for the couples! It is more to a guideline that teaches us how to live harmoniously with others and establish happy relationships with people around us. Be them our friends, family members, or just the strangers that come into our life.

• Be willing to change.
• Be honest to your friends and family members.
• Avoid competition between you and your friends.
• Avoid being possessive and selfish.
• Be kind, gentle, patient and loving to them.
• Say sorry if you have made a mistake.

And the list goes on. If you feel lonely and lament for too few friends to be by your side, think of this. To build a happy relationship, it always start from giving. Giving truthfully to the others, but not asking for return in the first place.

Somehow, there is this one last sentence which is dedicated only for the loved ones:

“A good relationship blossoms when two people decide to share instead of trying to change each other. ”
